Primus Fonkeng is a graduate from the University of Yaounde 1 Cameroon where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA in History), Master of Arts Degree (MA in History of International Relations), Diplome D’Etude Approfodies Degree (DEA/MPhil in History of International Relations) and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD in History of International Relations). He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Buea, Cameroon where he lectures Cameroon, Africa and World History at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. He is also a Part Time lecturer in the Department of Arts, Education and Humanities (DAEH), Saint Monica University (SMU) Buea, where he lectures courses in International Relations. He has a keen interest in the history of international relations and especially in conflict resolutions, peace building, governance and human rights in Africa and other parts of the world. Dr. Fonkeng also has a keen interest in security issues, economic and socio-cultural dynamics of the management of resources in the Gulf of Guinea. He has attended many international conferences and workshops and published in journals at home and abroad. He also belongs to several scholarly societies including Cameroon Society of History (CSH), Cameroon Commonwealth Association (CCA) and Coordinator of the Buea University Society of History (BUSH). Currently, he is researching on topical international issues such as Terrorism in Central and West Africa, Insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea and War Crimes, Crimes against Humanity and Genocide in the African Continent.
